MASSES AND EVENTS ON WEEKDAYS On weekdays, for the Catholic Parishes of Sandusky, if the City of Sandusky or Erie County is placed under a Level 3 Snow Emergency, parish offices will be closed and all activities/events are canceled. As the priests live immediately adjacent to Saint Mary’s Church, we will offer Mass there at 8 AM for the intentions of all the Masses scheduled for that day. When there is inclement weather or a lower level snow emergency is declared (Level 1 & 2), Masses will be offered as scheduled. Please contact the Pastoral Offices for event or other possible cancellation information. Information will also be communicated through our website, Flocknote, social media pages, WCPZ 102.7 and WLEC AM 1450.
MASSES AND EVENTS ON WEEKENDS AND HOLY DAYS Whenever a county/city within the Diocese of Toledo is placed under a Level 3 Snow Emergency, during which all roadways are closed to non-emergency personnel, the Catholic Churches within that geographic region will cancel the scheduled Saturday Vigil, Sunday, or Holy Day Masses. Roman Catholics in that region, therefore, are dispensed from the obligation to attend Mass. If Masses are cancelled, Catholics are encouraged to participate in Holy Mass via television, radio, or internet, making a spiritual Communion. When weekend or Holy Day Mass is cancelled, all other diocesan, parish, or school events in that geographic region are also cancelled.
