WEEKENDS: Whenever Erie County is placed under a Level 3 Snow Emergency, during which all roadways are closed to non-emergency personnel, the Catholic Parishes of Sandusky will cancel the scheduled Saturday Vigil, Sunday, or Holy Day Masses. Roman Catholics in that area, therefore, are dispensed from the obligation to attend Mass. If Masses are cancelled, Catholics are encouraged to participate in Holy Mass via television, radio, or internet, making a spiritual Communion. When weekend or Holy Day Mass is cancelled, all other parish events in are also cancelled.
WEEKDAYS: On weekdays, for the Catholic Parishes of Sandusky, if the City of Sandusky or Erie County is placed under a Level 3 Snow Emergency, parish offices will be closed and all activities are canceled. As the priests live immediately adjacent to Saint Mary's Church, we will offer Mass there at 8 AM for the intentions of all the Masses scheduled for that day. When there is inclement weather or a lower level snow emergency is declared, Masses will be offered as scheduled. Please see our parish Facebook page (SanduskyCatholic) or contact the Pastoral Offices (419-625-7500) for event or other possible cancellation information.
