We are happy to introduce Peter & Eileen Ueberoff, this year's keynote speakers for our "I Still Do" Evening for Married Couples!
Here's a little bit about them:
Peter and Eileen are parishioners at Epiphany of the Lord in Oregon, OH. They have been married for 52 years. Eleven years ago, Eileen was placed on a ventilator for 10 days. The doctors did not think she would live. When Eileen finally came off the ventilator, doctors told her she would lose her hands and legs. In a matter of days, the Ueberroth's life together changed dramatically. Pete quit his job in order to transform their house to be handicap accessible and become Eileen’s main caretaker - her hands and legs.
The witness of Pete and Eileen's faith and marriage is a blessing to all married couples. They are a living example of what it means to spouses to keep their vows to each other: “for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health.”
