The Sacrament of Holy Orders is one in which the Tradition and mission given from Jesus to Peter continue to be passed down from priest to priest through all time. The Catechism of the Catholic Churches defines Holy Orders as “the sacrament through which the mission entrusted by Christ to his apostles continues to be exercised in the Church until the end of time: thus it is the sacrament of apostolic ministry. It includes three degrees”—the orders of bishop, priest, and deacon. (Catechism, 1536)
Young men who would like to learn more about the priesthood are encouraged to speak with our priests.
