The renovation of the Holy Angels Parish Hall was included as an item for the Living Christ Campaign. The improvements planned for this space were not slated to begin for a couple of years. However, we had the opportunity to apply for a grant from the Erie County Community Foundation, and were notified a short time ago that we were awarded $7,500 toward this project. Much to our surprise, a week later another grant was given by the Dorn Foundation Special Donor Advised Fund in the amount of $2,500!
These grants provide our parish with over one-third of the total cost to replace the flooring in the parish hall. Therefore, the Holy Angels Finance Council has approved the abatement of the asbestos floor tile and the installation of a new epoxy floor in the parish hall!
The improvements will begin on Monday, January 6, 2025 and the project will be completed by Sunday, January 19. Both the Parish Hall and the parking lot entrance (for access to the church) will not be available for use during that time. Access from the parking lot to the Religious Education Center will be maintained on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings.
Please say a special prayer of thanksgiving for the generosity of both the Erie County Community Foundation and the Dorn Foundation!
